Rawat invites business leaders to invest in Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Wednesday met the country’s top business leaders in Mumbai and invited them to invest in the state, saying huge opportunities in various sectors awaited them.
The Chief Minister met the business leaders in the country’s commercial capital as part of a roadshow to generate interest among them to participate in an investors’ summit to be held in Dehradun on October 7-8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit.
Rawat informed the entrepreneurs about the investment opportunities available in Uttarakhand from the point of view of natural and human resources and an investment-friendly atmosphere created by the state government, an official release here said.

The Chief Minister highlighted efforts being made by his government to promote tourism and also to promote the state which is endowed with great scenic beauty as a film shooting destination.
No fee is being charged for film shooting in Uttarakhand which has led to many films being shot in the state in the past one and a half years, he said.
Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj spoke of vast opportunities available for investment in the tourism sector in the state.

A new tourism circuit scheme is being formulated in which ‘Navgrah Circuit’ and ‘Bodh circuit’ are included. A plan is afoot to start the 5,000-year-old ‘Char Dham Yatra’ on foot, he said.
