SSC JE Exam 2017: Official revised notification out; check new eligibility criteria

These Amendments Have Been Introduced To The Previous SSC JE Exam 2017 Official Notification Released In October Last Year.

Official notification for SSC JE Exam 2017 is available on the official website ssc.nic.in. The Staff Selection Commission has revised eligibility norms and conditions for applicants for SSC JE exam 2017 this year.

The changes were announced on the official website.

Students are advised to go through the revised norms carefully. Earlier only candidates possessing a diploma in their respective engineering discipline could apply for the exam. These amendments have been introduced to the previous SSC JE Exam 2017 official notification released in October last year. 

Steps to check SSC JE Exam 2017:

# Visit the Staff Selection Commission official portal ssc.nic.in

# On the homepage, click on the news tab section (the news tab section contains all the updates about SSC online exams)

# Click on the link stating ‘Corrigendum SSC JE 2017 Exam’ to access the detailed notification. 

About SSC JE Exam pattern:

SSC JE Exam 2017 will be conducted in two phases. Paper 1 will be of 200 marks and paper 2 will be of 300 marks. Both paper 1 and paper 2 are Multiple Choice Questions. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in both the papers. According to the recent Exam Pattern, candidates appearing for the post of JE (civil), JE (quantity surveying & contract) should attempt Part A (civil & structural) of paper I & II.

On the other hand, candidates appearing for JE (electrical) need to attempt Part B (electrical) & the candidates appearing for JE (mechanical) need to attempt Part C (mechanical) of Paper I & II.
