Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial venture and magnum opus ‘Padmaavat’ is finally set to release on January 25 after a prolonged controversy but the star cast of the flick is nowhere visible in the promotions.
On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man is set to clash with the period drama but he is seen aggressively promoting the film.
It is been reported that the makers of ‘Padmaavat’ are leaving no stone unturned in avoiding any kind of controversy which may emerge from the statements given by the starcast which includes Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
A source told to Mid-Day, "The makers want to keep promotional work minimal to avoid controversy. Also, the cast members are busy with other commitments’’.
However, ‘Padmaavat’ doesn’t require promotions anymore as it already a very much-hyped film. The movie has been in headlines since its inception for all the wrong reasons.
The Rajput community has been opposing the release of the film, alleging that the film contains some objectionable scenes of Rani Padmini and Alahuddin Khilji.
After having several cuts and change in the name of the title, the movie has finally received the certification and is ready for the release.
But, the things are not normal yet, despite receiving certificate, the release of the movie is banned in four states namely Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana.
It will be interesting to see which movie wins the race of the box-office.
