New Delhi:

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is juggling between multiple projects in Bollywood, kick-started shooting for the 10th season of his much popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). KBC is the Indian adaptation of the internationally popular format 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' and has been ruling a million hearts over the years.

On the first day of shooting, senior Bachchan went down the memory lane and reminisced about the early days of his hit show that started its journey back in 2000.

Taking to his official blog site 'Bachchan Bol', Big B wrote, "The first day of shoot for KBC  .. and the apprehensions and nervous energy eating up the intestines .. its been 18 years of KBC in India and the 10th season .. a majority of which have been associated with me .. seems strange but there it is .. those first days of its initiation in the year 2000, its struggles and trials, and now to be still at it in the year 2018 is by itself some revelation".

"...the location the crew the stage the meetings the references and the briefings .. all form such a vast variety of creative input that it is difficult to ignore even the smallest of suggestions .. but yes it is a daunting task and most arduous .. yet the moment the appearance occurs and the studio audience reacts it is enough reason to be there even after 18 years of its existence .. !!" Bachchan added while sharing a series of photographs from his 'crorepati' days.

The Delhi High Court, however, has pronounced its verdict in favour of KBC and said there was no copyright violation by the Amitabh Bachchan show. The 75-year-old actor has hosted eight seasons of the Sony Entertainment Television show, except for the third edition, which was hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Earlier, KBC 9 introduced a new lifeline for the participants called Jodidaar, where he/she could bring a partner to join him/her on the hot seat. The makers of the show also replaced the Phone-A-Friend lifeline with Video-A-Friend in last season and it remains to be seen what they have in store for the viewers in KBC 10.
