4 Police personnel killed, 7 injured in encounter with CPI-Maoists in Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh Police Said, “Two Sub-inspector Rank Officers And Two Constables Were Killed In The Encounter. The Four Deceased Were Part Of District Reserve Guard — A Force Created Primarily To Fight Maoists.'
Four state police personnel including two officers were killed and seven injured in an gunbattle with the CPI-Maoist cadres in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district on Wednesday morning.
Chhattisgarh Police said, “Two sub-inspector rank officers and two constables were killed in the encounter. The four deceased were part of District Reserve Guard — a force created primarily to fight Maoists.”
The officer added, “CPI-Maoists ambushed the DRG team moving towards Abhujmaad around 11am. The encounter between police and Naxals lasted for around one hour.”
“More than 1000 rounds of bullets were fired by the Maoists on the anti-insurgency force,” the officer added.

The injured were airlifted to Raipur for medical attention. “The injured are out of danger,” said a senior police officer deployed at Raipur.
In an another incident, Maoists triggered an IED blast at Bijapur district, which has left two jawans injured.
