Manohar Parrikar is AFRAID of Goa's roads, doesn't travel by scooter fearing accidents
Even Though Media Reports In The Past Have Projected Parrikar As A Politician And The CM Who Moves Around On A Scooter, Parrikar Said He No Longer Does So Fearing An Accident.
It is nothing less than an irony that Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar is afraid to ride a two-wheeler in his own state. The reason being broken-down roads of his home state.Even though media reports in the past have projected Parrikar as a politician and the CM who moves around on a scooter, Parrikar said he no longer does so fearing an accident."People ask me whether I travel on a scooter. I tell them that I don’t anymore. My mind is filled with work related thoughts and if I ride my scooter while my mind is somewhere else, then I could meet with an accident," Parrikar told a gathering of BJP workers in Canacona on Saturday.“The state government would be adopting various measures to reduce accidents on the roads of Goa and bring down the fatalities,” said Parrikar.
