After struggling in the earlier session, Afghanistan’s spinner made a comeback in the last session of the Day 1 when they took five wickets and put a temporary halt on the Indian innings.

Since the beginning of the match, Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay gave the team a strong start and ensured team India in a comfortable position.

After winning the toss, Ajinkya Rahane chose to bat first, Dhawan didn’t spend much time and his seventh ton before lunch making him the sixth batsman in the world to do so.

It will be interesting to see, if Afghan bowlers continues to pick wickets and wrap the Indian innings at the earliest or the remaining squad of Indian batting side puts a big total in front of the debutants.
