Explosion at Nepal’s Biratnagar Metropolis office
An improvised explosive device (IED) went off in front of the office of the Nepal’s Biratnagar Metropolitan Corporation on Sunday but no one was injured, the police said.
The explosion was occurred at the passageway in front of the mayor Bhim Parajuli’s office. Deputy Mayor Indira Karki and chairpersons of some wards were present in the building when the bomb went off, police said.
The powerful bomb went off during the lunch hour and most of the office staffs were not present in the office at the time of explosion, they said, adding that no injury or casualty have been reported but the window panes of the office building were smashed.

Police has cordoned off the area and barred entry into the office premises. And also, they were checking the CCTV footages to find any clue, police said.
A investigation has been launched to find those involved and their behind the explosion, they said.
