New Delhi:

Use of glycerine to shed tears is one of the most common ways actor attempt, but how realistic it is that an actor cried on the set because he fell in love with his movie and almost lived the character that brought tears to his eyes.

Tears don’t pop out from a man’s eye so often and especially if that man is Akshay Kumar. But, here is something interesting; Akshay got emotional while shooting for a sequence from his upcoming movie Airlift and cried with respect.

Akshay was shooting the sequence where India’s national flag is being hosted as Air India’s first flight lands on airport to pick Indians in a foreign land.

Akshay revealed to a news daily that the sequence was so emotional that he did not even need glycerine to cry. Nearly 1.7 lakh people were evacuated with the help of 488 flights.

Airlift is based on a true story which also holds a Guinness World Record.

Directed by Raja Menon, the film also stars Nimrat Kaur in the lead roles and is expected to hit the silver screens on January 22, 2015.
