Hyderabad:
A usual morning turned dismal for a 13-year-old student in Hyderabad who delivered a baby girl inside a school washroom last week. The incident left her school staff and parents in shock as nobody knew about her situation.
The girl, who studies in a government school in Madhapur area of Hyderabad, complained of a stomach ache after which she was asked to go to the washroom.
Soon after the classmate who had gone with the girl informed the teacher that the girl has delivered a baby.
Immediately the school took action and moved the girl to the hospital after informing her parents.
The news became more shocking after the parents and school staff mentioned that none knew about the girl’s condition.
According to the girl’s teacher, ''She is very slim and would walk with a dupatta on her stomach and she would sit with her bag on her lap, so we didn't know.''
The family suspect neighbour’s involvement in the incident as he used to drop the girl to school often.
The Hyderabad police has registered a rape case against the alleged accused.
The incident has once again highlighted the plight of child abuse in India.
