Shallow to moderate fog was witnessed in parts of the national capital this morning, reducing visibility. The minimum temperature was recorded at 13.5 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season’s average, a MeT department official said.

Humidity level at 8.30 AM was recorded at 91 percent. The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy skies for the rest of the day.

“The skies will be partly cloudy. The maximum temperature is expected to hover at 26 degrees Celsius,” the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 13.8 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature had settled at 26.2 degrees.

Fog days in New Delhi has been on the rise since the past few decades, largely due to rapid urbanisation. On Dec. 1, New Delhi was engulfed in thick smog and visibility terribly affected. In addition, the air quality has also been termed hazardous now.
