One of the most prestigious award shows in Bollywood Filmfare has been scheduled for January 15, 2016.
The 61st Britannia Filmfare Awards is expected to celebrate the excellence in Indian cinema and celebrate success of the films both commercially and critically.
Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone announced date of the event at a press conference held at The Leela Palace in New Delhi on Saturday.
"Filmfare has been a very important part of our growing up years. I cannot imagine life without Filmfare Awards. I will never forget that experience in 2007, when I won my first Filmfare award. It was so surreal. I remember going back home, hugging my parents and crying. I never imagined that I would stand on the stage holding the Black Lady in my hand. The 2013 awards were also very special because I won the award for 'Ramleela'. We are all a bundle of nerves this time. I have three films this year, so I am looking forward to 2015 being a repeat of last year for me," said Deepika at the press conference.
Last time it was Ranveer Singh who had hosted the show and made it a big success with his witty humour. On being asked whether he will host the show or not he said, ‘these days I am stunning on a very tight schedule due to Bajirao Mastani, so I am not sure if this is happening or not. But coming days will clear the air.
