New Delhi:

It will be an important day for tainted cricketers Ajit Chandila and Hiken Shah, who have been allegedly involved in 2013 IPL spot fixing. The The Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) is yet to decide their fate.

The BCCI’s three member panel headed by president Shashank Manohar is likely to meet over the issue and decide the course of action against two players.

According to sources, the two players many impose life ban to set example for other players.

Haryana’s Chandila was held by Delhi police for trying to spot-fix IPL games in 2013 along with his then Rajasthan Royals teammates S Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan who have been banned for life by the BCCI.

The board is on a cleaning spree and will also decide on the punishment for Mumbai Ranji Trophy cricketer Hiken Shah for his alleged breaching the anti-corruption code ahead of this year's IPL.

Earlier this year, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were banned for two years after their co-owners and officials found guilty in 2013 spot-fixing.
