New Delhi:
The Vigilance judge S S Vasan who had directed an FIR against Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and state Power minister Aryadan Muhammed had sought a voluntary retirement after High Court quashed his order.
The Kerala HC in its order said that courts can’t act on the basis of mere revelations. The court went furtherto suggest an “administrative action” against Vaasan.
Also, court criticised the way the lower court acted in the matter.
The court’s order came at a time when Kerala Congress was facing huge protests against Oomen Chandy demanding his resignation.
The HC order came on a day main accused Saritha Nair made sensational disclosures before a commission — including allegations that Chandy's son had sexual relations with an accused.
