New Delhi :

The violent clashes in Jawaharlal Nehru University on Wednesday night between those supporting Afzal Guru and those against the Parliament attack accused terrorist brought out a harsh reality in the face of those who speak about rising intolerance in the country.

Is India really intolerant, I don't think so! What intolerance? One look at the footage of the protesting students and you will know that India is uselessly debating the whole idea when the government is blindly tolerant towards anti-national agendas in the name of religious beliefs’ and freedom of expression.

A glimpse was seen in the JNU campus where students who are studying at the cost of taxpayers’ money were shamelessly raising slogans of Pakistan’s rise and India’s fall.

Can they be called students and how can they be allowed to speak about a terrorist in such unfathomable manner. They even went on to the extent of calling Guru a martyr and ‘Pakistan Zindabad’.

This came on a night when everybody was praying for the revival of Lance Naik Hanamanthappa Koppad who finally lost the battle and passed away on Thursday morning.

Sad it is that instead of praising a martyr the youth of India is caught between truth and farce.

And, it is deeply painful to know that these students will be the face of tomorrow’s ‘Intolerant’ India.
