Hyderabad:

Global healthcare solutions provider Enraf-Nonius India today evinced interest in setting up state-of-the-art hospitals in Telangana.

The company is Indian subsidiary of Netherlands-based Enraf-Nonius, a worldwide leader in electrotherapy and ultrasound products. It specialises in the development, manufacture and sale of a complete line of innovative medical products to the physical therapy and rehabilitation markets.

The company's India head Sunil Agarwal, Liaison Director Hilal Rather, Director of Construction Suresh Gupta and others called on Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao here and conveyed their willingness to set up the hospitals, an official release said.

Rao told the representatives of Enraf-Nonius India that his Government is planning to set up hospitals in Hyderabad, Warangal, Khammam and Karimnagar.

Altogether they would have more than 5,000 beds, Rao said, adding they look forward for their participation in building them.

"The CM had a discussion with them on the modalities of funding and the time that is likely to take to complete the project after an agreement is reached," it said.

Agarwal informed Rao they have done similar work in countries like Sri Lanka and extended an invitation to the Health Minister and his team to visit the island nation to see the company-built hospital for themselves.

"The CM has asked a team of officers of Health Department led by Health Minister C Laxmareddy to visit Sri Lanka this week-end and study the facilities in the hospital built by Enraf-Nonius," the release added.
