In Bengaluru, angry farmers from different parts of drought-hit Karnataka were seen protesting on the streets Thursday.

They even stormed into the Legislature session and demanded solutions for various issues the farming community is facing.

Some farmers were demanding a permanent solution to the drinking water crisis they were facing in North Karnataka.

12 districts in North Karnataka have been declared drought-hit, and farmers' groups also demanded release of dues amounting to over 1,000 crore that sugar industries have defaulted on paying to sugarcane farmers.
