Puducherry:
Puduchery and Karaikal regions of Union Territory of Puducherry adopting the Tamilnadu educational curriculum in Class X (SSLC) public examinations have scored an overall 92.42 percentage of passes. Chief Education Officer S Ramalingam released today the details of the results of the examination held in March this year.
Of the 17,752 students, who appeared for the examination from the two regions, a total of 16,407 students have come out successful. While percentage of passes scored by girls was 94.86 the boys have established a pass percentage of 89.99.
Preethi of Amalorpavam Higher Second School, P Keerthana of Subramania Bharathi Higher secondary school in Tirukanoor village and Jaudi Magdaline and P Vaishnavadevi (both from St Joseph of Cluny Higher Secondary School) are the top scorers.
