The much awaited trailer of Akira is finally released. Sonakshi Sinha starred action packed movie will hit theatres on September 2. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the movie will see filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in a negative role while Akshay Kumar will make a guest appearance.
Akira is a remake of the Tamil flick Mouna Guru which featured actor Arulnidhi. Sonakshi has gone through tremendous training for this movie and reportedly has learnt martial arts for the film.
At the trailer launch of the film, Sonakshi was asked who her favourite action co-star was for she replied, “Dabangg is Salman, Rowdy is Akshay and Sardar is Ajay. The past five years I’ve been working with these guys and I have learned only ‘maar peet’ from them.”
“It’s truly been a pleasure watching them do the action on screen. I love action films, I love to be a part of them and I’m really happy, thankful, grateful that I could be doing the action in this film myself.”
The action movie ‘Akira’ will also feature Sonakshi’s father and actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, Konkana Sen Sharma and Anurag Kashyap.
