Sony has teased the Xperia XA Ultra on its social media pages and has hinted that it is all set to be launched in India. The details about the price and availability of Sony Xperia XA Ultra are likely to be announced at an event on July 25.
The company, which had unveiled the smartphone in May on its official website, has now tweeted that a 'perfect selfie companion' will be released on Monday. Presumably it will be the Xperia XA Ultra.
The dual-SIM (Nano SIM) smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It comes with a 6-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with the new Mobile BRAVIA engine 2.
Powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755 octa-core processor, the Sony Xperia XA Ultra offers 3GB of RAM. The 16GB of inbuilt storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 200GB).
Sony Xperia XA Ultra features a 21.5-megapixel rear camera with Exmore RS sensor, hybrid autofocus, HDR photo mode, auto-scene recognition, and LED flash. It sports an adjacent 16-megapixel selfie camera with a Sony Exmore R sensor, front-facing flash, OIS, auto-focus, HDR photo mode, and wide angle lens (up to 88 degrees).
A 2700mAh battery is expected to deliver up to 2 days of battery life, while a quick charger is said to provide 5.5 hours of battery life in just 10 minutes of charging.
The smartphone supports 4G, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Miracast, Bluetooth 4.1, DLNA, and NFC. Colour options include White, Graphite Black, and Lime Gold.
Weighing around 202 grams, the Sony Xperia Ultra's dimensions measure at 164.2x79.4x8.4mm. The accessories include the Style Cover Flip SCR60, Style Cover SBC34, and the Style Cover SBC32.
