New Delhi:

Twitter has a blue and white colour scheme which has long been hard on the eyes for users when reading through Twitter especially at night. To sort out this issue, Twitter has now rolled out a night mode feature for the Android version of the social media application.

Users would now be able to read through Twitter with much ease. Twitter announced the arrival of the new feature with a GIF to show how night mode looks like. Also, the feature is now listed on the FAQ section of the Twitter for Android support page.

To activate the night mode, users will have to access the slide-out drawer of the application. Near the bottom of the drawer, right above the Settings option, is a toggle for the night mode feature and sliding it will activate or deactivate night mode for the Android app.

Android users can easily activate the feature as they have to first remove the app from the device’s recently opened apps section then reload it. Subsequently, the feature will get added on. Twitter’s night mode uses the darker colour scheme with a dark blue background. The text changes from black to white.

The new feature is available only for the Android users as of now. The iOS version of the Twitter app is likely to get access to the night mode soon.
