New Delhi:

In the first fiery exchange of words, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump go for a heated debate in the first presidential debate. Both the candidates clashed heatedly over economy, tax cuts, and a wide range of issues grappling the United States.

Clinton, 68, the Democratic nominee who is the first-ever woman to be nominated as a presidential candidate by a major political party, and the real estate mogul are in virtual dead heat, with a latest poll showing a bare two-point lead for the former secretary of state.

Trump,  the Republican nominee, on the other hand has risen despite infighting to be the party's top candidate for the race to the White House.

During the debate, Clinton sought to take the attention towards  highlighting and understanding the complexities of the American economy. Trump repeatedly slammed Clinton for calling the vast Trans-Pacific Partnership deal the ‘gold standard’ of such agreements.

“That's called business, by the way,” Trump said

“I know you live in your own reality,” she said.

The debate holds to be of utmost importance as it will show if Clinton's latest bout of illness  has had any impact on the votersor not.
