Anyone can be abusive: Asha Bhosle’s tweet triggers controversy on social media

Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following the Uri attacks, Indian Army's surgical strike and ban on Pakistani actors in Bollywood, veteran singer Asha Bhosle tweets sparked controversy on social media on Friday. It seems she was referring to the controversy regarding the ban on the Pakistani artists imposed by IMPPA. She says in her tweet:

Though it was difficult to pin point the exact provocation which led Asha to express her anger on social media, but it seems she was responding to the controversy regarding the ban on Pakistani artists by IMPPA.

It seems, in the process of defending the decision to ban Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood, she hurt few of her Pakistani fans also. As she goes on defend the right to be ‘abusive’ and adds:
