Indian Navy on Friday afternoon dispelled the rumours of explosion at the Porbandar Naval base in Gujarat in the morning. Earlier, it was reported that an explosion was heard at the Porbandar Naval base in Gujarat on Friday morning. However, the Navy has since said that it was just fire cracker.
The guard subsequently supported informed the seniors.Â
The base staff, which was on high alert, immediately launched a search operation. However, explosion was not linked to any terrorist activity.Â
News Nation reporter on the spot informed that all senior officials were at the base and were taking full stock of the situation.Â

Porbandar Naval base was recently in news after Indian Coast Guard ship ‘Samudra Pavak’ apprehended a Pakistani boat on Oct 2 off Gujarat coast in Porbandar.Â
The boat which had nine crew members on board were arrested by Gujarat coastal defence.Â
