New Delhi:
Extended holidays starting from this weekend with Durga Puja and Muharram falling in the same week due to which schools, colleges, banks, courts and gas agencies will remain shut for the occasions.
Nationalised and private banks will remain closed for five days starting from Saturday, as it is second Saturday of the month.
Festive seasons is around and with celebrations of Durga Puja and Dussehra, the holidays are on Monday and Tuesday.
On 12th October i.e. on Wednesday Muslims will observe Muharram and it will be a holiday, all banks will remain closed.
Saturday: Celebrations for seventh day of Navratra with Durga Puja. Also it is second Saturday of the month so banks are closed.
Sunday: Eighth day of Navratra celebrated as Mahaasthami.
Monday: Ninth day of Navratra
Tuesday: Celebrations of Dussera; the Hindu festival depicting the victory of good over evil
Wednesday: Muslims will observe Muharram
