Union Minister Babul Supriyo was attacked by mob in West Bengal’s Asansol district. He represents Asansol in Parliament and was on a visit to the city.

According to reports, the mob started pelting stones at Supriyo’s convoy and that is when a brick hit him too. The video footage from the spot showed stones were pelted at the BJP leader.

The crowd resorted to stone pelting and breaking the car windows, windshield. Over the past few months, there has been a significant rise in the number of incidents across the country.
