New Delhi:

Bob Dylan has recently been announced winner of Nobel Prize for Literature. He has been the first musician to win Nobel Prize. Fans all across the world celebrated the announcement. But, the discussion has also been rife that whether he will accept the award or not.

The speculation took new wind when mention of the Nobel Prize was removed from the musician's website, where the phrase "winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature" had previously been added to the page promoting a book of his lyrics.

The mention about the award on the website was the only public recognition that Dylan had given to the prestigious award. Attempts have also been made to reach out to the legendary musician but he has chosen to remain silent so far.

Much of Dylan’s work dates from the 1960s, when he became an informal historian recounting the troubles of America. Dylan’s songs Blowin' in the Wind and The Times They are A-Changin' became anthems of the anti-war and civil rights movements.

He is known for his unconventional bend and unique lyrics. The year the Sweden-based body registered about 220 proposals that were later cut to a short list of five for the award.
