The 4th edition of the Asian Men's Champions Trophy being played at Malaysia shall witness India will take on arch rivals in a mouthwatering encounter on Sunday. The Indo-Pak sporting clashes be it cricket or hockey are considered one of the most famous rivalries in the world of sports.

The hockey fans would be treated top yet another display of top flight hockey between the Asian powerhouses, who are known for their flair and skill with the stick. The results of these much revered rivalries sets the pulse of the nation. A win lifts the happiness index of the country, meanwhile a loss is hard for the fans to digest.

Amid the heightened tensions between the South Asian neighbours in recent times, which called for a complete ban on sporting and cultural activities with Pakistan by the Indian political establishment, hockey surprisingly hasn't come under the scanner and the sides are very much on track to take on each other on the field.

The two teams are part of the tournament organised by Asian Hockey Federation. Indians started off their campaign on winning note by inflicting a heavy defeat on Japan. The Indians hammered the Japanese 10-2 in the opening encounter. In their second game, the Indians were held to a draw by Asian powerhouse South Korea. Indian striker Rupinder Pal Singh has been in superlative goal scoring form as he found the net six times against the Japanese.

On the other hand, Pakistan dint start off the tournament in the best fashion as they lost to the Malaysia 4-2 in opening match. The Pakis have bounced back to register a 1-0 win against South Korea.

So both the teams would be looking for their second win of the tournament and cement their place at the top of the group.
