Team News:

India:

The Blue brigade has been without their the services of their seasoned campaigners and looked a bit unnerved while chasing down what seemed to be an achievable target set by the Kiwis at Delhi.

The Indians need to get their batting order in place which has been subject to a lot of shuffle. The top order has been vulnerable to quality swing bowling and there seems to a over dependence on Kohli to score big in the middle order. MS Dhoni has struggled to rotate the strike and someone like a Pandya would like to step up a gear to finish off games for India.

The Indian bowling has been potent in the first two games. Both Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav have been brilliant up front and at the death.

Hardik Pandya has been contributing well with the bat and ball. The Indian spinners have been equal to the task in checking the run flow and picking up wickets.

New Zealand:

The Kiwis have finally got their act together with some of their premier batsman striking forming.Kane Williamson lead the charge from the front by scoring a brilliant century at Delhi, which helped the Kiwis post a challenging total.

Tom Latham has been the most promising batsman on tour courtesy his good run of form in Dharamsala and Delhi.

The bowling attack has been bolstered by the return of their ace strike bowler Trent Boult. Boult was all over the Indian batsman in Delhi with is pace and swing. He was well partnered by the likes of Tim Southee and Matt Henry.

Seasoned campaigners like Martin Guptill and Ross Taylor havent got going at all and the management might contemplate a change in the batting line-up.

Stats and trivia:

India have won three of their last four ODIs in Mohali

MS Dhoni needs 22 runs to become the third wicket-keeper to 9000 runs in ODIs. Kumar Sangakkara and Adam Gilchrist are the other two.
