Patna:

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday said he would embark on a 'Nishchay Yatra' across the state from November 9 to take feedback from the public on the implementation of prohibition and development works to achieve his seven resolves.

"The government has completed almost a year in the state and I feel like going to the people and take their feedback on its popular programmes," he said.

The chief minister was speaking after launching a programme, 'Har ghar pakki gali, naliya' (road and sewage connection to every household), a key component of his 'seven resolves' which have been adopted by the grand secular alliance government as the "policy of governance" for five years.

Nitish said under the 'Nishchay Yatra', he would take feedback from the public on the implementation of prohibition, development programmes under seven resolves and also, on the functioning of the public grievance redressal centres.

He said six out of seven resolves have already been launched and the last one, electric connection to every household, would also be launched before the government presents its annual report card on the completion of one year in power in the end of November.

Almost 70 per cent of the survey work has been completed to provide electric connection to every household in the state and the government would start working to fulfil this resolve too before presenting its annual report card in November end, he said.

Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav was present at the function.

The chief minister claimed that by 2019-20, every habitation in the rural areas would be provided road and sewage system and work would be carried out through panchayats and urban local bodies.
