New Delhi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday morning slammed the Opposition for criticising the implementation of demonetisation, saying, “Those criticising demonetisation move don't have problem with govt's preparedness, they have problem that they didn't get time to prepare.”
The remark later caused an uproar in both Houses of the Parliament as the leaders of Opposition demanded an apology from the Prime Minister.
"PM today said that Opposition is favouring black money, this is an insult to the entire Opposition; he must apologise," demanded Gulam Nabi Azad, in Rajya Sabha on Friday.
Raising the same concern, BSP supremo Mayawati also said, "PM must come to House and apologise to the opposition for his remarks; he must also clarify who has the black money."

Speaking on the ocassion of book release function in Parliament House Annexe in New Delhi, PM Modi said it is time to move towards cashless economy.
“Everyone has right to use their money, but today the world is changing, money is not just available physically. Indian must move towards cashless economy,” he said.

PM Modi also called common citizens of India a solider against corruption and black money during a at book release function in Parliament House Annexe in New Delhi on Friday.

Remembering the creator of Constitution BR Ambedkar ahead of Constitution Day on Saturday, PM Modi remarked that the constitution grants duties along with rights, but ‘over the years people have forgotten their duties under the Constitution but only remember their rights’.
November 26 is celebrated as Constitution Day because the Constitution of India was adopted on this day in 1949, to be formally enforced two months later on January 26, 1950.
