New Delhi:
A man was arrested for allegedly raping and murdering a seven-year-old girl in Muzaffarnagar district, police said on Monday.
The girl had gone to the accused, a cobbler, to mend her school shoes.
The girl's body was found on Sunday, police said.
The cobbler, Sant Kumar, was booked under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act. He was later arrested and produced before a court, police said. The court has sent the accused to 14 days judicial custody.
