Charleston:

Passengers on a Southwest Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Orlando went into jiffy when the plane made an emergency landing in Charleston, South Carolina after a baby was born in the middle of the flight.

Airline spokeswoman Melissa Ford local media that the Southwest Airlines flight 556 was on its way following a routine route on Sunday when a woman went into labor. The flight left Philadelphia at 2:46 p.m but soon after it was diverted to Charleston following such a medical emergency. 

Ford says medical personnel who were on the flight helped with the delivery, and the family was taken to an area hospital when the plane landed. 

One of the passenger on the flight, Izzy Gould captured a video and uploaded on Twitter about the condition on the flight.

Officials say the flight which was carrying 132 passengers arrived in Orlando safely just over an hour behind schedule.
