Capital Express train got derailed near Samuktala station in West Bengal on Tuesday. Around 9.15pm, the engine and two coaches of the UP-UP Rajendra- Guwahati Capital Express train derailed near the Samuktala Road station at Alipurduar district.
The NorthEast Frontier Railway in a press release stated “The engine and two coaches (One SLR and one General Second Class coach) of 13248 UP Rajendra- Guwahati Capital Express derailed near Samuktala Road near Assam-West Bengal border at around 9:15 pm. One passenger was injured in the accident. â€

This comes weeks after the Indore-Patna Express derailed in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, killing over 100 people on November 20.
