New Delhi:

The logjam between the government and the Opposition over the demonetisation in Parliament showed no signs of fading on Wednesday.

Throughout the day, the Opposition remained adamant over its demand that PM Modi should apologise in Rajya Sabha over the currency ban exercise.

The government too accused the opposition parties of stalling the debate on the issue and disrupting the House proceedings.

Earlier in the day, the BJP held a parliamentary meeting in Delhi to chalk out a strategy to counter opposition’s attack.

The Opposition too refused to back off from its stance. In a separate meeting, the Opposition decided that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should apologise in the Upper House. It also demanded a discussion under rule 184 on demonetisation in Lok Sabha.
