90 lives lost due to demonetisation, claims Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee claimed on Thursday that 90 people have lost their lives due to hardships following demonetisation of high-value currency notes by the Centre a month ago. 

"One month since demonetisation was announced. More than 90 lives lost. How many more Modi babu?" she said on twitter. 

Banerjee, who from the beginning opposed the demonetisation and demanded its roll back, had participated in a protest dharna in Delhi besides holding protest meetings in Lucknow and Patna last month.
