Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday accepted HY Meti’s resignation after the state Excise Minister was accused of being involved in a sex scandal.
The alleged scandal came to light after an RTI activist Rajashekar Mulali alleged that Meti’s act with a woman who approached him for a favour was recorded in a CD, reports say.
Huge furore was created over the incident following which Karnataka CM discussed the issue with police.
The chief minister had reportedly asked the state intelligence to thoroughly probe the case and report to him if such a CD really existed.
