Government declares 'Chaar Sahibzaade: Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur' tax-free in Delhi

New Delhi:

'Chaar Sahibzaade: Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur', a Sikh religious movie, has been declared tax-free in the national capital.

The announcement was made by the Entertainment department of Delhi government on Wednesday.

"I am directed to convey the approval of the Government of NCT of Delhi for exemption of Entertainment Tax with immediate effect in respect of Hindi Feature Film 'Chaar Sahibzaade: Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur'," Entertainment tax officer P K Goel said in his order. 

Released on November 11, the movie happens to be the sequel of 2014 release 'Chaar Sahibzaade' which got rave reviews from the audience . Interestingly, 'Chaar Sahibzaade' was also declared tax free in the national captial by Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung.

'Chaar Sahibzaade' is based on the life of four sons of tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh. On the other hand, the sequel revolved around Banda Singh Bahadur who not just avenged the killing of the four Sahibzade but also gave a hard time to the Mughal army who had been terrorizing Punjab for decades.
