Cooperative bank staffs ferrying Rs 10 crore in defunct currency caught in Mumbai

Mumbai:

Three employees of a cooperative bank in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, who were carrying Rs 10 crore of defunct currency inside two gunny bags were caught at Chheda Nagar junction in Chembur on Thursday late night.

These employees belong to Vaidyanath Urban Cooperative banks. Mumbai police have frisked these three people from a Nissan car who was ferrying Rs 10 crore in defunct crore and Rs 10 lakh in Rs 2,000 to Pune.

Police also added that the trio showed papers signed by other bank officials
