New Delhi:

Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Tuesday said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will travel to Delhi on October 30 and they would meet to take stock of the law and order situation in Patna.

"The Bihar Chief Minister will meet me on October 30. I was supposed to go on Tuesday but he had a meeting in Rajgir. So, he was not able to meet me in Patna. On Wednesday, I will talk to Kumar," he said.

BJP on Tuesday termed blasts during its Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi's rally in Patna as an attack on "nationalist" forces by terrorists.

"It was an attack on nationalist forces by terrorists whose main target was our Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi," BJP's General Secretary In-charge of Madhya Pradesh, Anant Kumar told reporters.

The BJP also blamed Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the major security lapse which led to the blasts during Modi's rally and demanded that the Election Commission take cognisance of it as well as ensure Modi's security.

"The Intelligence Bureau had given prior informationto the Bihar government, but it did nothing to ensure security at Gandhi Maidan where Modi had addressed a rally," the BJP leader said.

"Even mandatory steps like a dress rehearsal and advance security liaisoning were not taken by the Bihar government, which was tipped-off about the blasts on October 23 by the Intelligence Bureau," Kumar said.

The BJP leader also demanded that the Election Commission ensure Modi's security due to the fact that the party has planned over 100 rallies of it's Prime Ministerial candidate all over the country ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
