Ainul alias Tariq, the alleged accused in Patna serial bomb blasts succumbed to injuries in Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences on Friday.
Tarique, was injured while assembling bombs at the Patna railway station on October 27 ahead of Narendra Modi's rally.
"Prime suspect in Patna serial blasts dies in hospital early today," confirmed hospital sources.

Ram Pukar Singh, Inspector GRP said, "He died yesterday night. He hailed from Ranchi and was 100% involved in the blast. With the help of fax and telephone, his family has been informed about his death."
Earlier on Thursday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested the alleged accused- Aftab and his colleage ' Munem' in Patna serial blasts.
According to reports, the arrest was made while Aftab was travelling from Delhi to Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
Earlier three people were arrested in connection with the Patna serial blasts. The NIA arrested the third suspect from Ranchi in connection with the Patna serial blasts.
With the support of Ranchi Police, the NIA sleuths arrested a suspect Ujjair Ahmad on Wednesday, police sources said.
Two other suspects, Tausim and Imtiaz Ansari, were arrested soon after the blasts in Patna.
Serial blasts rocked Patna on Sunday ahead of BJP prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Hunkar’ rally. The toll in the blasts has risen to seven.
