Ahmedabad:
Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Monday wished UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi on her 67th birthday and prayed for her long and healthy life.
"Wishing UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi on her birthday. I pray for her long and healthy life," Modi tweeted on micro-blogging website Twitter.
However, there were no celebrations on her birthday in view of the demise of former South African president Nelson Mandela.
India is observing a five-day state mourning since Friday as a mark of respect to Mandela.
