Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh dies of heart attack in Dubai on Saturday, he was 65 year old. Farooq Sheikh was in Dubai to spend holidays with friends.
It is worth mentioning that Sheikh is known for his roles in Satyajit Ray's Shatranj Ke Khiladi, Sai Paranjpe's Chashme Baddoor and Sagar Sarhadi's Bazaar. He made a tremendous contribution in theatre and TV as well. He was the the host of the famous talk show 'Jeena Isi ka naam hai' on television.
He started his career in Bollywood in 1973 with 'Garm Hava'.
Farooq Sheikh also has the credit of winning 2010 National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan's Lahore.
"Farooq was one of the finest actors bollywood ever had," said emotional Deepti Naval, who has worked with Farooq Sheikh in some of his most successful movies.
