1984 riots: Delhi Cabinet asks Lt Governor to form SIT

Moving a step ahead, Delhi Cabinet on Thursday asked Lieutenant Governor to order a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.

"All the closed cases and FIRs related to the '84 riots should be reopened, have asked Lt Governor about this," said Manish Sisodia.

After days of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi admitting in a TV interview that some of his party members were probably involved in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi decided to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe into the riots.
