With a focus on stage theatre, the festival aims to “give aspiring theatre groups an opportunity to showcase their talent through a theatre competition Manchnaad.”

Slotted for November 3-4, the competition invited entries from across the country out of which eight selected productions are set to vie for various award categories.  Organisers said the ultimate winner would be awarded with a Tata Nano car.

The festival also has a workshop “Know the actor in you” organised by theatre vetran Nadira Babbar, who heads the Mumbai-based Ekjute theatre group. Babbar is also starring in the play “Sandhya Vhhay”.
