Perth:
The BCCI has decided to continue with Biswarup Dey as Indian cricket team’s administrative manager till the two warm-up games for the World Cup against Australia and Afghanistan scheduled on February 8 and 10 respectively.
“Dey was scheduled to fly back on February 2 along with the reserve players Mohit Sharma and Dhawal kulkarni. But he has been instructed by the BCCI to stay and oversee administrative work till the two World Cup warm-up games against Australia and Afghanistan are held. As of now, he will be staying back till further notice,” a BCCI source told PTI today.
The Indian team today had a day off as most of the players decided to rest with a few of them hitting the gym and some having a swimming session.
The team will be leaving for Adelaide on February 2 and decide on the scheduled training session only after reaching Adelaide.
There is a possibility that a few players along with support staff might go to the WACA to watch the final of the tri-series between England and Australia.
