New Delhi:

Emraan Hashmi's 'Mr X' is a project that makes you understand how huge amount of money should be spent on something which has nothing in terms of substance.

Right from the beginning it became easy to understand that movie is heading towards a destiny which will only fetch disappointment. The film, which has been released in both 2D and 3D, is only tolerable for those who get excited just by watching a man getting visible and invisible simultaneously.

The movie is about two best ATD (Anti-terrorist department) officers – Emraan Hashmi and Amyra Dastur – who are in love with each other and want to get married. But, a conspiracy steps in and engulfs the couple which changes everything around them. Now, conspirators kill Emraan, they think he is dead but lord Krishna’s blessings save him and now he has some powers which make him visible only in sunlight and neon lights. Now, story of revenge amid lost love begins and proceed for an end which anyone would guess easily.

Mr Bhatt is a smart man he knows how to pull audiences in theatres and this is exactly why he is always ready with a back-up plan. Apparently, he knew science-fiction may fail so he kept Emraan-Amyra romance as his second weapon to cut money out. But, sadly the chemistry failed to create an impact which Emraan had posted in his last movies.

AIB roast star Tanmay Bhatt also found much of a screen space in the film, but his acting skills fall flat on audiences. He is one of the best comedians on digital world but things change when he lands on big screen.

Apart from Tanmay, it was Amyra who was trying really hard to project that they are good in acting. For me they were nowhere near the skills Emraan and Arunoday Singh projected. Both the stars were the only reason to stick eyes on screen. Interestingly, one liner – You can call me X – by Mahesh Bhatt is the only thing that hooks along rest stays in theatre.

This is not the first time people were presented the concept of an invisible man, so it had to be unique, but only thing I can say is its Bollywood! In comparison to already seen Hollow Man and Mr India, the concept stands nowhere.

Final Verdict: Emraan Hashmi fans need no reason to watch his film. Same goes for this! Viewers looking for a great show may come out disappointed.
