In a major relief to builders and Noida Extension house owners, the Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed farmers' petitions and ruled continuation of Allahabad HC order.
The Court on Thursday upheld Allahabad HC order in Greater Noida quashing farmers’ plea contesting land acquisition.
All petitions against this has been dismissed by the apex court. According to lawyer, “SC dismissed all petitions from Noida & Greater Noida. Land acquisition will not be quashed.”
He added that the order has brought huge relief for builders. “Had this judgement not come buildings constructed on land would have had to be demolished,” said a lawyer.
The farmers were demanding their land back while Greater Noida authority was unwilling to give the developed land.
The judgement will be a huge setback to the farmers who have been demanding against land acquisition in Noida Extension region. This verdict is set to impact 65 villages of Noida and Greater Noida.
