New Delhi:

On May 27, the political slugfest which began early morning between three politicians ended on a peaceful note with Prime Minister Narendra Modi meeting former counterpart Manmohan Singh at 7 RCR.

The meeting came as a surprise to many which mainly involved discussions on foreign policy and Indian economy.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former PM Manmohan Singh and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi tried to manoeuvre each other party’s achievements to look the best.

The series of allegations and accusations began with Rahul Gandhi’s scathing attack on Modi government.

While addressing the fishermen in Kerala, Rahul targeted Modi by saying that the PM leads a ‘suit boot thieves government’.

He also alleged Modi government of selling India’s gold- Land to the corporate friends.

Elaborating the NAMO acronym, Rahul mentioned, “The term stands for no action, maximum oratory.”

Another surprise came from ex-PM Manmohan Singh who in a rare event was seen slamming Modi government for repackaging and marketing UPA’s initiatives as of their own.

“What BJP had opposed when we were in power, are now being sold as its contribution. But this doesn’t surprise us, this is the compliment BJP could pay to the constructive work done by UPA government,” Manmohan elaborated at NSUI National Convention in Delhi.

Anyways, the pot-shots by Congress leaders didn’t went in vain with Prime Minister himself taking all the blows in head on collision.

In a first ever interview to a news agency on May 27, a day after his government’s first year anniversary, Modi took a dig at Gandhi family by saying that they are still reeling under 2014 Lok Sabha Election defeat.

Notably, Modi after becoming India’s PM, has never attacked Manmohan Singh directly nor indirectly.

It was on January 9, 2014 speech when Modi targeted Dr Singh by commenting that good days are ahead for India. Modi was referring to the most-awaited Lok Sabha election results.

In all the three instances one could see that Rahul was seen barking up the wrong tree in Kerala; while Manmohan’s claims of not using public office for family benefits didn’t ring a bell especially with recent claims of ex-TRAI Chief Pradip Baijlal.

While speaking about our 1-year-old PM, Mr Modi as always was able to impress all with his oratory skills. He once again proved that his image of a demagogue is for a reason.

Well, Mr Modi it is high time you start working on your productive skills for the honeymoon period is over now. And, we are sure you know that already!
