London:

Supporting the Conservative Party’s election manifesto, Queen Elizabeth on Thursday made a speech in the London Parliament amid traditional pageantry.

The speech contained most of the measures including welfare cuts, homes to tenants, and making strikes more difficult.

The promised income-tax cuts found space in the speech while more emphasis was laid on domestic policy areas keeping the voters in mind.

Her words read, "a one-nation approach, helping working people get on, supporting aspiration, giving new opportunities to the most disadvantaged and bringing different parts of our country together."

Moreover, Scotland will get more control over welfare spending and income tax while gaining new power to borrow money as part legislation aimed at appeasing the country's nationalists and keeping the UK together.

However, the focus of Cameron's efforts was to allow an EU referendum, whose support he needs to change the face of Britain's membership.

The referendum will be held before the end of 2017. With France and Germany going to elections in 2017, the rules will be toughened for Britain.

Cameron will be visiting Netherlands and France today, while Poland and Germany tomorrow, to make his case. Hope he succeeds.
